Care instructions

For over 30 years, we have been crafting exquisite ceramic tableware with a clay body that has been refined over time to make it incredibly durable. While our dishes are designed to serve food, not cook it, the difference in lifespan between dishes used for their intended purpose and those used otherwise can be measured in years. To ensure your VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware lasts for generations, follow these guidelines:

Can VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware be used in the microwave and oven?

Yes, our tableware is microwave and oven safe up to 200°C. However, always avoid subjecting ceramics to sudden temperature changes, as thermal shock can cause damage. Heat ceramics slowly and evenly, and place them in a cool oven before gradually increasing the temperature to no more than 200°C. Never place ceramics directly into a hot, preheated oven.

Can VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware be used on the stove?

No, our tableware is not suitable for use on the stove, as sudden changes in temperature can cause thermal shock and damage. This restriction also applies to tea canisters.

Can VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware be put in the dishwasher?

Yes, our tableware can be washed in the dishwasher, but we recommend avoiding abrasive detergents that can cause wear. As a green-minded company, we encourage the use of eco-friendly products to help preserve the environment.

How should VAIDAVA CERAMICS wooden dishes and utensils be cleaned?

Simply wipe wooden dishes and utensils with a damp cloth after use. Avoid soaking, washing, or placing them in the dishwasher.

What should I do if my cutlery leaves marks on my VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware?

The ceramic glaze on our tableware is stronger than soft metals, so any marks left by cutlery are just a metal deposit on the glaze, not a change in its structure. To remove these deposits, use a product containing oxalic acid, such as Bar Keepers Friend, or wash the affected area thoroughly with the rough side of a dish sponge. Never use a metal sponge.

Can stains occur on the glaze of VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware?

Stains may occur on the glaze if food is stored in the container for an extended period, especially if it is sour or colorful, such as beetroot. While our tableware is designed for serving food, not storing it, any stains can be removed by washing thoroughly with the rough side of a dish sponge or a product containing oxalic acid.

Can stains occur on the surface of unglazed VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware?

Our collections include unglazed dishes that are specially polished to close the clay pores and make them more resistant to moisture and stains. However, avoid prolonged exposure to oily or colorful food on the dish's exterior.

Tableware quality

We warranty all our tableware for up to 2 years against manufacturing defects. If you encounter any issues with your VAIDAVA CERAMICS dishes, please contact us by email or phone, and we will help resolve the issue.

Do VAIDAVA CERAMICS tableware contain harmful ingredients?

No, our tableware does not contain any harmful ingredients, including lead and cadmium. Every piece is made at our factory in Vaidava, and we strictly adhere to European Union safety standards.

Why do my VAIDAVA CERAMICS dishes not look identical?

All our tableware is handcrafted, so minor variations in form, clay tone, and glaze color may occur. These slight irregularities add to the authenticity of our tableware and are carefully inspected to ensure they meet our high standards and our customers' expectations.
